Murano glass plaque Emilio Nason for A.Ve.M. - Italy 1940s

Laying woman sculpture E. Nason - A.Ve.M. - Murano 1940s
Glass plaque with a lying woman created by Emilio Nason, master glassmaker and one of the founders of the historic glasswork A.Ve.M., Arte Vetraria Muranese. The splendid naked body is made of light amber glass with long hair in a black glass chignon. The plaque is made of transparent glass with materic inclusions in warm shades of yellow, orange with darker edges. Emilio Nason seems to represent a Polynesian woman caught in a moment of great naturalness, in harmony with the surrounding nature of which she is a part.
