Murano glass fan-shaped bowl of the
Zebrati series, with vertical ribs (
costolature) in transparent glass and the surface entirely covered in gold foil. The edge has an irregular wavy shape, which recalls the shape of a fan. The zebra effect is obtained from the amber-coloured spiral drawn on the internal base and which spreads across the entire body of the vase. The vase is designed by
Ercole Barovier, one of the most famous "kiln masters", in the late 1940s. Having completed his high school studies and after the World War, he began working with glass in his father's furnace, which he soon took over.
