Interesting Russian travel triptych with three small icons painted in tempera on wood that come with a metal support. In Russia, the art of travel icons has always been very important and widespread, because it allowed the believer to never be separated from the venerated image, even while traveling. The central icon represents Christ enthroned, the left one the Nine martyrs of Cyzicus, and the right one Saints invoking Christ.
