Authentic Russian icon of medium size made with bright colours on a golden base. The iconographic motif refers to the Annunciation of the Angel to Mary that will become Mother of God through the Holy Spirit. The Archangel Gabriel is represented in three different moments: in the background as he looks at young Mary at the well, then while approaching her home and in the foreground while giving her the message. On the upper part there are the Father and the Holy Spirit, a ray of light descending towards Mary. This icon was probably made during the last 19th century in line with the School of Vetka, and is still in good conditions.
