Gorgous pair of Murano glass swans, crafted in the 1950s at the Archimede Seguso furnace, belonging to the famous Alabastro series. These sculptures stand out for the elegance of their lines and visual lightness, achieved through expert control of solid glass that allows for slender bodies, thin and sinuous necks, and finely modeled heads. The Alabastro technique gives the glass an opalescent, velvety appearance and a chromatic depth similar to that of the natural stone, creating a diffused light effect that enhances the form. The aquamarine hue of one piece and amethyst of the other are delicately shaded and harmonize with the opaline wings and circular bases. These works represent one of the most iconic themes of Archimede Seguso’s production, one of the great masters of 20th-century Murano glass, known as “the Master of Animals.” Highly decorative and collectible objects, they are in perfect condition and bear the original label on the base.
