Murano glass vase Barbarico - Barovier & Toso 1950s

'Barbarico' vase E. Barovier - Barovier & Toso - Murano 1950s
Peculiar glass vase of the Barbarico series, whose corroded surface is obtained with the heat-coloring technique without fusion. By using this technique, whose details are still a secret for many, Ercole Barovier realized works of art which resemble archaeological objects for their form and colour. This small vase is characterized by the central hole, underlined with black glass paste like the circular base, and by the truncated conical mouth, which fits onto the circular body.
