Big vase in blown Murano glass belonging to the Opalino series, made by the Venini glassworks at the end of the 1950s. The opalino is a manufacturing technique that is obtained by overlapping (layering) lattimo glass, opaque white glass, with a one or more thin transparent or colored glass layers. This vase is lattimo jacketed in amethyst colored glass. It bears the acid signature "Venini Murano Italia" at the base.
