Oil on canvas painting by Erminio Kremp (1860-1936), an German artist who lived between the 19th and 20th centuries. During his youth the painter settled in Palermo, where he met many different artists, such as one of the most important Sicilian landscapers of the 19th century: Michele Catti. The artworks of Kremp are often inspired by the natural Sicilian landscape. In this case, a maritime scene takes place on the canvas, which sees people in humble clothes seeking shelter behind a cliff during a storm, while in the distance there is a ship at the mercy of the waves. The painting has been preserved in perfect condition, and are present both the artist's signature and the year of production of the painting: 1934.
