Dino Martens (1894-1970) is a Venetian painter and designer. In the '20s he began his activity as an artist in Murano collaborating with the manufacturers of the place, in particular SALIR (Studio Ars and Labor Industrie Riunite), Salviati & Co., and A.Ve.M.. Thanks to the strong understanding of the Murano glass material, Martens reaches asymmetrical shapes with the use of traditional original techniques and extravagant productions. From 1939 to 1963 his experience and talent led him to become artistic director of Vetreria Aureliano Toso.
