Lovely jewelry box made of contenental silver in the 1960s. The body features fine embossing and chiseling that create some floral motifs, which are also replicated on the lid. Here, a deep orange, oval-shaped, cabochon-cut gemstone is set in the center. On the bottom are the hallmarks of the metal and the silversmith who made it. The jewelry box, complete with lion legs, is covered inside with red velvet and is still in good condition.
