Sophisticated brooch with in the middle a shell cameo depicting a winged female figure playing the lyre. The round cameo is set in a fully engraved 18-karats yellow gold frame. The cameo tecnique has very old origins and consists of hand-engraving a gemstone or, as it in this case, a shell exploiting the chromatic contrast to make the relif figures stand out.
