'Giansanti' pendant 18k yellow gold - Emerald diamonds - Italy 1960s

Extraordinary cross-shaped pendant entirely handmade with openwork of vines and leaves. Made of 18-karat yellow gold, it features a Colombian emerald of approximately 3.50 carats in the center, framed by brilliant-cut diamonds of great quality. The cross is signed "E. Giansanti - Roma". Egidio Giansanti has worked for the Vatican since the 1930s, even becoming Custos (keeper) by papal appointment of the treasury of the Madonna of Pompeii. Jewel of great prestige, in excellent conditions.
