L. Bubacco cup Lampworked glass - Venice 1990s
Big Murano glass cup made by Lucio Bubacco, considered among the greatest glassmakers of Murano and one of the best in the world in glass lampworking. The blown-glass chalice was made using the technique of rigadin ritorto, and decorated in orange with gold foil inclusions. On the stem there is a naked male figure wearing an orange mask on which a white parrot rests. The base reflects the workmanship of the cup.
