Bourbon latch necklace with enamel miniature - Italy 19th century
Astonishing Bourbon jewellery made of 14-karat gold, called "latch necklace" for the possibility to move the central element along the cords. The long cord is an intertwining of flattened thin threads decorated with applied little disks, and ends with two engraved cups holding gold tassels. The central element symbolize the key that opens the heart, and it is enriched by an enamel miniature representing a mountain landscape with a lake. It is a unique jewel, especially because it is perfectly conserved.

Ho fatto pulire e controllare i miei gioielli, quando li ho rivisti ho fatto un salto indietro nel tempo di molti anni, oggi rivedo finalmente questi monili di nuovo brillanti e luminosi come quando mia madre li acquistò da giovane per indossarli e viverli in ogni buona occasione.
