Beautiful brooch with in the middlle a shell cameo depicting a half-bust of Jesus Christ, whose face is surroudned by a halo. The skills of the craftsman, certainly of the Neapolitan school, is clearly visible from the way he carved the long hair, the delicate profile, and the beard. The cameo is set on an 18-karat yellow gold frame made of two twisted wires that hold four shoots. Fine jewel, still in excellent condition.
