Female sculpture Marble - Chiurazzi - Naples early 1900s
Woman's representation in Belle Époque style, standing proudly turning her face to show her left profile, and holding a wide fan close to her chest. The clothing, hairstyle and style are typical of the early 20th century, a period of great changes in which women also began to emancipate themselves. The work is skillfully executed in Volterra alabaster, and attributable to the production of the historic manufactory Chiurazzi in Naples. There is the artist's signature at the bottom.
