Wineskin-shaped vase in blue glass with the mouth folded outwards in pink, like the interior; the body is decorated with green glass filaments wrapped in a spiral. Made by
Venini, this vase is part of the series
Chiacchiera, designed in 1984 by
Mary Ann Zynsky, known as Toots. The American artist is particularly famous for her glass, especially for the
filet-de-verre technique, in which thin threads are extracted from glass rods, just like in this vase. Zynsky has exhibited all over the world and her works have entered major museums and international private collections.
