Great Murano glass amphora vase made of black glass and silver foil, which was irregularly used on the surface. The foot, the lip, and the little handles consist of sand-coloured glass paste, with caramel inclusions. Having become artistic director of
Venini in 1934,
Carlo Scarpa created this series of vases called
Aurati which received widespread recognition and is still highly sought after by collectors all over the world today. The state of conservation of the vase is excellent. It is signed "Venini Murano" in acid at the base.
