Icon Mother of God of the burning bush- Russia 18th century

This image of Mary takes its name from the Biblical episode of the bush that burned without consuming itself while in it God spoke to Moses. The Mother of God is at the center of an 8-pointed star, 4 red (to remember the fire) and 4 darker (to remember the shrub). As the shrub did not consume burning, so Mary gave Emmanuele light while remaining pure. The double star is inserted in turn on a blossomed flower representing Mary's eternal purity. On the petals of the flower are represented the angelic ranks. This icon was very venerated in Russia and considered a protector of houses by fire.

Ho acquistato on line alcuni gioielli, uno più bello dell'altro. Spedizione velocissima, bella confezione che includeva anche un gradito regalo, i gioielli sono più belli dal vivo che in foto. Lo Staff di Passione Antiqua veramente gentile, un piacere aver acquistato da loro.

Dopo due splendidi dipinti, dopo svariati anelli uno più bello dell’altro, mancava proprio questa perla d’orologio Longines. Un ringraziamento a tutto lo staff!
