Pharmaceutical bottle for domestic use was the initial production of this company founded in 1854 by the brothers Carlo, Ferdinando, Angelo, Giovanni, Liberato and Gregorio Toso. Then in the early 1900’s they started producing objects, jugs and chandeliers in Liberty style achieved with the murrine technique, and these assured great success at the Biennale of Venice in 1912 and 1914. Until the mid-‘30s the company produced traditional blown glass, but thena remarkable change was noticed. This was mostly due to the new artistic direction that passed to Ermanno Toso, who decided to revisit the techniques of Murano glass. During the ‘60s-‘70sRenato, Giusto and Rosanna Toso, with their works in transparent glass, brought a new modern look at the company, which then closed down in 1982.
