Empire-style centerpiece in 800 silver - Italy 1940s

Sophisticated oval bowl with lid known in italian as "legumiera", a bowl to hold legumes. Made in the 1940s from 800-thousandths silver, the main body has an embossed rim decorated with some small leaves, typical of the Empire style, whichare also present on the inner rim of the lid and on the frame around the grip. The lid handle can be removed so as to obtain two holders. On the edges, it feautures the metal and silversmith mark. Elegant tableware, characterized by clean and refined lines, in excellent condition.
