Guardian Lions in jade - China 19th century

Beautiful pair of lions made of imperial jade from Burma. The lines of the sculpture are in line with the Chinese school of the 1800s. It is a refined craft work, placed on a basis of contemporary natural wood. The tradition of Fu Lions is very ancient and characteristic of Eastern countries, such as Japan, China and Korea. They are believed to be protectors and guardians, and that is why they are often placed at the gates of religious temples and imperial palaces. Excellent state of conservation.

Ho acquistato on line alcuni gioielli, uno più bello dell'altro. Spedizione velocissima, bella confezione che includeva anche un gradito regalo, i gioielli sono più belli dal vivo che in foto. Lo Staff di Passione Antiqua veramente gentile, un piacere aver acquistato da loro.

Dopo due splendidi dipinti, dopo svariati anelli uno più bello dell’altro, mancava proprio questa perla d’orologio Longines. Un ringraziamento a tutto lo staff!
